Corina worked as film producer and film festivals organiser for 15 years. She started making ceramics in 2020, has followed various courses and has dived into the traditional Korean wheel throwing ceramics techniques which she learned from master Kwak Kyungtae in Icheon (SK).

I enjoy designing activities that are custom made for our clients and I am passionate about hosting and making The Clay Table a studio where anyone would feel most welcome to come in to try the incredible creativity available in working with ceramics.

In my own practice I love combining both techniques in making functional ceramics ware and art pieces.​

Nierika studied Communication Design at the Technical University of Applied Sciences in Augsburg. She now works as a freelance graphic designer and she designs and hosts crafts workshops in a variety of techniques, including ceramics.

In graphic design projects I can be creative, but in a very specific and limited way. That’s why I love being in spaces where ideas are free and creativity can grow. For more than two years, I’ve been leading craft workshops for both children and adults, and I truly enjoy bringing out the creativity in everyone. I’m always curious about new materials, which is how I found The Clay Table during a seven-week ceramics course… and never left.

Jordana is in 2020 afgestudeerd als basisschooldocent en heeft dit werk voor een periode gecombineerd met het geven van keramiekcursussen. Naast doceren heeft ze een interesse in ondernemen en startte ze in 2022 haar eigen studio in Den Haag waar ze al met honderden beginners en gevorderde draaiers heeft gewerkt. ​

Deandra graduated from the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague (KABK) with a bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture and Furniture Design. She currently teaches in the Kunstplan program at KABK. Deandra is also part of Studio Sososo, a studio dedicated to transforming the fashion landscape through innovative approaches. Community-based activities are important to her, and she get involves in pop-up events to connect with the local community.​

Mijke Anink is een keramist met meer dan 15 jaar ervaring in het geven van draailessen en handopbouwlessen. Ze heeft gestudeerd aan de Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten.

Ik heb een passie voor keramiek en lesgeven. Ik maak graag unieke items, gedraaid op de draaischijf of hand opgebouwd. Ik geniet van iedere stap van het maken van keramiek, van een bol klei naar een kopje of vaas tot onderzoek doen naar mijn eigen glazuren. Als docent motiveer ik mensen graag naar het vinden van hun eigen expressie in klei, altijd met praktische en fantasierijke aanpak.

Luisa, het gezicht achter siebentagestudio, is een Duits-Nederlandse kunstenaar die haar Bachelor in Grafisch Design met focus op illustratie behaalde aan de PBSA in Düsseldorf. Haar liefde voor keramiek ontstond via een vriendin, wat haar ertoe bracht deze fascinerende kunstvorm verder te ontdekken en zij zo een bijna 40-delige keramische installatie voor haar Bachelorwerkstuk creëerde. Inmiddels werkt ze als stagiaire bij The Clay Table, waar ze haar passie voor keramiek verder ontwikkelt en haar vaardigheden verfijnt.

Wat Luisa vooral aanspreekt in keramiek, is de enorme verscheidenheid aan technieken en de mogelijkheden om creatief te experimenteren. Haar favoriete technieken zijn handbouw en het gebruik van onderglazuren, waarmee ze prachtige kleurnuances en effecten creëert die doen denken aan aquarelverf.

Ania is a Polish artist based in The Hague. She graduated from the Fine Arts department at the Royal Academy of Art (KABK) and is currently a resident of

(   )In the mountain collective in de Besturing. She speak English and Polish.

Heya!

In my artistic practice I make installation work combining ceramics and metal, clay with bioplastic, etc. The core of my work has always been imagination induced visuals. I love using clay as a sculptural material in a playful and boundryless way; a tool in building sincere and magical worlds. I also love crafts and trinkets.

Alice graduated in 2002 in business and worked for 16 years in France in the world of brand design and communication as a pilar between clients and creative teams. In her current work as a potter she develops her own line of products and teaching hand building and wheel throwing. She works in The Netherlands and France for restaurants and architects.

Bonjour,

After years of being fascinated with ceramics, I finally put my hands in clay in 2018 in Brittany with a particular wheel throwing course with the inspiring ceramist Nathalie Dérouet whose work I had  followed for years. Overwhelmed by the emotion that this material gave me, I started again the next day trying to keep this emotion intact. 

After years of trainings I opened my own studio in France with the obstinacy to create my own path with clay. 

My work is technical and precise, but balanced with sincerity, authenticity and spontaneity.  ​

Hey! ​​

Ik ben een kunstenaar en pottenbakker uit Aruba. Ik heb Beeldende Kunst gestudeerd aan de Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam (2012-2016). 

​

Mijn manier van werken is experimenteel en speels. Tijdens mijn studie mocht ik achter de draaischijf werken en na de eerste keer was is meteen enthousiast! Ik leerde mezelf draaien en startte met het combineren van draaien en handvormen.

 

Naast het maken van mijn eigen werk geef ik draailessen  bij Jordana Ceramics en creatieve workshop op scholen. Ik geniet van het lesgeven aan zowel kinderen als volwassenen. Tijdens mijn lessen moedig ik deelnemers aan om creatief, speels en onderzoekend te werken. ​

Patricia has a BA in History of Art from University of Birmingham and an MRES in Arts and Culture from Leiden University, with a specialism in socially engaged art. She has worked in museums, galleries and festivals in various parts of the world before deciding the art world is a scam. She has been living in The Netherlands for seven years and is now working for Paramount.

I think art is one of the things that makes life worth living. I have a day job in a big media corporation where I get to be creative in a very specific, limited way. I love the opportunity to also exist in a space where people make beautiful (sometimes weird) ceramic things from scratch, objects you can see growing in their hands in real time in front of your very eyes. I specifically love trying to capture this magic via 2D graphic design and I’m grateful to be able to put my passion for design to good use, to help build a pocket of space that I find so important in the world.
