HAND BUILDING CERAMICS
Hand building means making pottery by modelling the clay by hand, without the use of a potter's wheel.

Our classes are designed for people who want to make specific objects, be it decorative or functional. From beginners to advanced, participants learn to master the fundamental techniques in hand made ceramics.

Hand building is mindful, peaceful, approachable and a most creative form of pottery making.

LEVELS

Beginners learn the 2 fundamental techniques in pottery: pinch pots and building with coils, and apply them to making a variety of medium objects.

Level 2: intermediate level participants improve their coiling technique and make bigger and more complex pieces

Level 3: this advanced course is for those who have completed the first two levels. Participants work with teachers on developing complex designs / ideas.

Level 3: OPEN STUDIO means working independently on your own projects, without teacher help. This option is only available as a perk for studio members.
