TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These general terms and conditions apply to every agreement that you conclude with The Clay Table. Before signing up for an activity, please read them carefully. By registering you agree to the general terms and conditions.
1. Applicability
1.1 These general terms and conditions apply to all offers and agreements of clients or (potential) participants with regard to all activities.
1.2 An agreement with regard to attending an activity is established by submitting an application form by the participant and providing proof of registration by The Clay Table via e-mail.
2. Registrations
2.1 The Clay Table reserves the right to change the location if necessary.
2.2 By registering you agree to the general terms and conditions.
2.3 The Clay Table reserves the right to refuse online bookings. In rare circumstances, The Clay Table may need to decline a booking. If this occurs, the participant will be notified promptly, and a full refund will be issued within 5 business days. Examples of refusal reasons include (but are not limited to): the activity is already fully booked or over capacity via alternative booking channels; the booking does not match the intended age group, skill level, or activity requirements; the participant has previously caused disruption or not complied with our terms and conditions; safety, accessibility, or health considerations that prevent us from providing a good experience; administrative or technical errors (such as double-bookings).

3. Cancelling your participation
3.1 Cancelling an already booked activity must be done by e-mail to info@theclaytable.nl.
3.2 When canceling an already booked activity, an administration fee of €10 will be deducted from the refund.
3.3 Refunds: If you cancel up to 28 days before the start, you will receive a full refund, minus the administration costs (3.2). In case of cancellation less than 28 days before the start of the activity, or in case of no-show, no refund is possible.
3.4 If you are unable to attend a single-session activity, you may arrange for a replacement yourself, in which case an email notification to info@theclaytable.nl is mandatory (please include the name and contact details of the replacement, the specific activity, and the date/time). This does not apply to multi-session courses or special workshops, multi-day events, etc.
3.5 For pottery courses of more than 4 classes, we offer the option of rescheduling a missed class only if: another course takes place in the same week, there is an available spot in that class, and we are informed by email in advance.
4. Cancellation / rescheduling of activities by The Clay Table
4.1 The Clay Table is entitled to change the date of an activity up to 1 day before the start. Participants will be informed via phone, email, or booking system channels and have the option to move/cancel the booking free of charge.
4.2 The Clay Table is entitled to cancel certain activities where the minimum number of participants has not been reached. In such cases, participants who have already booked will be fully refunded within 5 business days.
4.3 The Clay Table is not liable for cancellations caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (e.g., illness, power outages, government restrictions, or other force majeure events).

5. Payment
5.1 Participants can join one of our activities by booking it online via our website or by requesting payment via invoice which must be paid within 7 days of the invoice date, but not later than the day before the activity is due to take place, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5.2 Booking dates requested by companies remain blocked in our schedule for a maximum of 7 business days from the invoice date. If invoices are not paid within this period, the dates will be released.

6. Complaints
6.1 If you have a complaint, please contact The Clay Table and know that we will do our best to resolve it.
6.2 Submitting a complaint does not release the participant from the payment obligation.

7. Liability
7.1 The Clay Table accepts no liability for personal injury or damage to property of participants, nor any liability as a result of events during the activity.
7.2 During workshops and courses, materials are sometimes used that can stain clothing or items. The Clay Table is not liable for soiled or damaged property and will not reimburse any damage.
7.3 We understand that firing damages can be very disappointing. Ceramics carry natural risks in the kiln, and sometimes pieces may crack or change during firing. Where possible, we will try—depending on the product type and activity—to find a fair solution if damage is directly visible after firing. Please note that we cannot take responsibility for damages that occur later through home use (such as dishwasher, oven, or freezer).
7.4 Participants are responsible for handling all ceramics and studio materials with care. Any costs resulting from breaking or damaging ceramics, tools, or studio property during the activity may be charged to the participant.

8. Other
8.1 The Clay Table always reserves the right to change the content of workshops/courses and/or adjust prices, including annual increases in line with inflation.
8.2 Parking costs and/or costs of public transport, if applicable, are for the account of the participant.
8.3 If a participant causes nuisance before or during an activity, we have the right to refuse or remove this person from the activity, and to refuse subsequent participation at other activities. No refund will be issued in such cases.
8.4 The Clay Table reserves the right to change the instructors assigned to different activities. Please note that not all staff members may speak Dutch.
8.5 Please get in touch with us prior to booking (info@theclaytable.nl) if you have questions regarding accessibility in the studio.

8.8 Vouchers/gift cards are not exchangeable for money.
8.9 When you book an activity with a voucher/gift card, all of the terms and conditions (1–9) apply.
8.10 Late arrivals: Activities will start at the scheduled time. Late arrivals may join, but the session will still end at the planned time. No refunds or partial refunds are given for late arrivals.
8.11 Children/minors: Participants under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. For activities specifically designed for children, details will be provided in the activity description.
