Handbuilding workshops are sessions of learning the fundamental techniques of modelling the clay by hand into every day objects or small sculptural works. 

Participants start from learning making pinch pots and expanding them with coils. Everyone can work on their own desired small projects, such as making a set of two small cups or bowls, a little vase, candle holders or soap dishes.

Our instructors can guide participants through the process of acquiring a new skill while mindfully supporting them into making one or two small ceramics object of their own imagination.

A hand-building workshop is a 2h long session for 12 participants per teacher. They are designed for total beginners but give enough creative options for those interested in practicing or improving their existing knowledge.

 

At the end of the workshop your creations remain in the studio and our team will take care of the drying, glazing and firing steps. You will be able to pick them up within 4 weeks from your workshop date.

The studio provides all needed materials, equipment, glazes and the 2 firings required by the ceramics process.
