Want to make something with your hands? In our one-time hand building workshops you shape clay by hand into your own functional or decorative piece. No pottery wheel and no experience needed.

Choose the workshop that suits you: a basic hand building workshop, a workshop focused on a special technique, or a seasonal edition. Workshops last 2 to 3 hours. You'll find what you make, how long it takes and the price for each workshop in the booking options below.

Hand building is relaxing and leaves plenty of room for your creativity. Our instructor guides you step by step, in a small group at our studio in Scheveningen.

Techniques (depending on the workshop): pinch pots, coiling, slab building and decorating with coloured engobes. 

 

What you make: for example a cup, bowl, vase, candle holder or small sculpture, small to medium in size. Each workshop lists what you make and how many pieces you take home. 

 

Included: materials, glazing session by our team and firing costs.

 

Group size: 5 to 10 participants.

 

Pickup: pieces don't go home on the day. They first need to dry, be fired and glazed, and are ready for pickup 5 to 6 weeks after the workshop.
