Always wanted to try the pottery wheel? In this 2-hour introduction workshop you'll get acquainted to wheel throwing. You learn to centre the clay, open and shape a small pot, and get plenty of practice. Throwing takes a lot of practice to master, but in this workshop you already make your own small bowl or cup: a lovely souvenir of your first time at the wheel.

Techniques: centring, making small pots, shaping into cup or bowl, cutting straight a wonky pot

 

What you make: a cup without a handle or a tea bowl, small to medium in size. One piece per participant.

Included: materials, glazing session by our team and firing costs.

 

Group size: 4 to 8 participants. 

​

Pickup: pieces don't go home on the day. They first need to dry, be fired and glazed, and are ready for pickup 5 to 6 weeks after the workshop.
