Learn to throw on the potter's wheel at The Clay Table, a pottery studio in Scheveningen, The Hague. In this compact 7-week wheel throwing course for beginners you learn the basics step by step: wedging, centring, opening and pulling up small pots, and shaping them into cups and bowls. You also try decoration techniques such as sgraffito and carving and are introduced to glazing. Taught by junior teacher Nierika, with professional potter and teacher Mijke Anink as lead teacher. This course is also the entry point to our Wheel Throwing All Levels courses. Embrace your creativity and connect with fellow clay enthusiasts! 7 sessions, each lasting 2 hours (including 15 minutes for cleaning). Create several pieces, up to 2 kg (additional pieces: €15/kg). The last session is the glazing class; your pieces are ready for pickup from Saturday 9 January. Language: English. Min. 5 participants, max. 7.
